Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to traditional music, old boleros and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other theatrical performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing at an early age alongside her mother. She was given more formal singing instruction when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well as a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She's a regular solo performer at events, private parties and other occasions, performing traditional Latin American Music. as a music teacher and musician she has volunteered for numerous community projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana was a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire others to do the same.
